Labor advocates join Starbucks workers to call out union busting – Video

On Monday, August 7 2023, protesters gathered at various Starbucks outlets across New York City and the entire country to participate in a “Day of Action.”
The demonstrators are speaking out against what they perceive as the company’s anti-union practices. The Starbucks store located on 5th Avenue and 47th Street was one of the 200 locations where people congregated in the city. Participants of the event aim to educate both customers and passersby about the ongoing efforts to unionize. Currently, approximately 300 out of the 9,000 Starbucks locations in the United States have voted in favor of unionization.
