Find groceries to prepare at home, ready-to-eat meals and current food distribution locations. This is a selected guide to six local programs or contact routes, plus three official and nonprofit food finders; it is not a complete list of Bronx pantries.
Need help finding food today? Call 311 and ask for a nearby food pantry or community kitchen. Call the provider before traveling to confirm its next distribution, availability, registration, documents and accessibility. A pantry and a meal program may have different schedules.
Bronx food programs
1. Part of the Solution (POTS)
2759 Webster Avenue, Bronx, NY 10458
718-220-4892
Groceries and a community dining room. The operator posts pantry hours Monday–Saturday, 8:30–11 a.m., and lunch Monday–Saturday, 12:30–3 p.m. Pantry groceries are available once per household per month; call extension 101 and leave your name and telephone number to register. Confirm the current service entrance and schedule when calling.

917-982-2700

3. Kingsbridge Heights Community Center Food Pantry
3101 Kingsbridge Terrace, Bronx, NY 10463
718-884-0700
Call extension 100. The pantry posts Tuesday and Thursday hours of 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; clients choose one of those days. Free pantry food is open to the public, with produce while supplies last. The operator offers Plentiful pre-registration and Spanish-language support.
4. BronxWorks — client-choice pantry appointment hotline
Multiple Bronx sites — confirm the assigned distribution address
646-596-1316
This is the shared pantry appointment hotline, not a walk-in site. Call on the designated call day shown in the operator’s monthly schedule. Appointments are offered in call order and may fill. Use the live program page for the latest flyer, site and dates; do not rely on an earlier month’s schedule.
5. BronxWorks Morris Older Adult Center Pantry
80 East 181st Street, Bronx, NY 10453
718-933-5300
The operator lists older-adult pantry distribution on the second Friday of each month, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., and a separate distribution for community members under 60 on the fourth Friday. Distribution is first come, first served. Confirm the next date, age requirements and referral rules with the center; dates and distribution methods can change.
6. Saint James Food Pantry, Fordham
2500 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, NY 10468
718-367-0655
General church contact. The pantry page lists the second and last Saturdays of the month, with distribution starting at 9 a.m. It serves neighbors regardless of religious affiliation. Ask the church to confirm the next distribution and any registration or document requirements.

7. NYC311 — Food Pantries and Soup Kitchens
The city explains how to find free groceries and prepared meals. Call 311, or 212-639-9675 when needed, for help finding a location. These are city referral numbers, not direct pantry lines.
8. City Harvest Food Map
Search the nonprofit’s map for food pantries, soup kitchens, community fridges and mobile distributions. Check each location’s details; hours and services can change.
9. Food Bank For NYC — Find Food
Use the organization’s locator for free groceries, meals and SNAP support. Availability depends on the site and remaining supplies; a map listing does not reserve food or an appointment.
Before you visit
Ask whether you need an appointment, household identification or proof of address, and how often your household may visit. Requirements vary: one provider’s document rules do not apply to every pantry. Ask about food suitable for your household’s dietary needs and bring bags if requested. Addresses, contact roles and published schedules were checked against the linked sources; telephone numbers have not been tested by calling. Posted hours do not guarantee same-day availability.
