Queens community resources · Sources reviewed October 26, 2026
Seven organizations connecting Queens residents and businesses with neighborhood programs, family support, older-adult services and community resources. Contacts below come from the organizations’ own websites. This is a selected directory, not a complete list of Queens nonprofits.
Start with the service you need and ask the organization which team and location to contact. Administrative offices may not be walk-in program sites; confirm appointments, eligibility, languages, accessibility and any fees.
1. Queens Community House — community and family programs
Phone: 718-592-5757
Administrative headquarters: 108-69 62nd Drive, Queens, NY 11375.
Ask the main office which site handles the program you need. QCH’s network includes older-adult, immigrant and family services. Program locations differ from the administrative address; confirm intake and availability before visiting.
2. Sunnyside Community Services — youth, adults and older residents
Phone: 718-784-6173
43-31 39th Street, Sunnyside, NY 11104.
The organization lists youth and family programs, adult and immigrant services, older-adult programs, home care and caregiver support. This is its general contact number. Ask for the relevant team and confirm the service location, eligibility and any charges.
3. Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement — western Queens
Phone: 718-784-7447
Programs operate at multiple western Queens sites; ask for your program’s location.
The official staff directory lists adult education, immigrant services, older-adult programs and youth teams. Use the general published number to request the appropriate extension. Confirm registration and meeting arrangements with that program.
4. South Asian Council for Social Services — Flushing
Phone: 718-321-7929
143-02 45th Avenue, Flushing, NY 11355.
SACSS describes its mission as supporting South Asian and other immigrant communities. Contact the organization about current services, enrollment, language support or community partnerships. The operator’s contact page gives 143-02; use that current address rather than older directory entries.
5. HANAC — Astoria administration and program referrals
Phone: 212-840-8005
Administrative office: 27-40 Hoyt Avenue South, Astoria, NY 11102.
HANAC lists senior, adult and family, youth and affordable-housing programs. This is the organization’s general administrative telephone, even though it has a Manhattan area code. Ask for the specific Queens program and its current location; a general inquiry does not establish housing or program eligibility.
6. Forestdale — family and parenting support
Phone: 718-263-0740
Forest Hills site: 67-35 112th Street, Building 5, Forest Hills, NY 11375.
Forestdale lists parenting and family support, preventive services, foster care and youth pathways. Call to identify the appropriate program and its intake requirements. Its Community Connection Family Enrichment Center has a separate Southeast Queens address and contact, listed in BigNY’s family guide.
7. Queens Chamber of Commerce — business and community connections
Phone: 718-898-8500
Bulova Corporate Center, 75-20 Astoria Boulevard South, Suite 140, East Elmhurst, NY 11370.
A business association offering networking and connections to business programs. Ask which resources are open without membership and about membership, event or program fees. The contact page includes construction-related entrance directions; check those before visiting. For additional counseling options, use BigNY’s Queens small-business guide.
