Six selected routes for business owners, entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations. Local contacts and citywide legal-information resources have different purposes, eligibility and fee arrangements.
Business and nonprofit support
1. Staten Island Chamber of Commerce
2555 Richmond Avenue, Suite 240, Staten Island, NY 10314
718-727-1900
Business networking, education and advocacy. Ask about current membership dues, event costs and the service that fits your business. This is the Chamber’s current official contact address.
2. Small Business Resource Network — Staten Island
Contact the Chamber team; confirm any meeting location
718-727-1900
A separate free business-support route through the Chamber, connecting businesses with guidance on planning, technology, marketing, procurement and professional resources. Ask for the SBRN team; the shared number does not mean every Chamber service is free.
3. NYC Business Solutions — Staten Island
120 Stuyvesant Place, 3rd Floor, Staten Island, NY 10301
718-285-8400
Free city support for business planning, courses, financing applications, government procedures and certification. Appointments are recommended. Financing guidance is not a guaranteed loan or grant; confirm any separate legal intake requirements.
4. Staten Island Small Business Development Center — CSI
2800 Victory Boulevard, Building 3A, Room 105, Staten Island, NY 10314
718-982-2560
No-cost advising for new and existing businesses, including planning, research, marketing and financial management. The current SBDC contact page and campus directory list Room 105; older material shows another room. Hybrid service is available; request an appointment and confirm location.

5. City Bar Justice Center — Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project
NYC-wide service; contact intake before arranging a visit
212-382-6633
Free legal support for microentrepreneurs with limited financial means. Topics include formation, contracts, commercial leases and intellectual property. Clinics require advance registration; help and representation depend on intake and capacity.
6. Lawyers Alliance for New York — nonprofit Resource Calls
Online request service and phone callback; not a Staten Island walk-in office
212-219-1800
Free general information on nonprofit business and transactional legal issues. If you cannot use the online form or email, leave a message at extension 224. Allow at least three business days. This service does not provide individual or for-profit legal advice; representation is a separate service with its own eligibility and possible fees.
Before you apply
Confirm appointments, service scope, eligibility, total costs and documents with the provider. Free advising does not mean every course, membership, legal service or government filing is free. A referral does not guarantee funding or certification. Information was checked against official city, college and provider websites; telephone numbers have not been tested by calling.
