NEW YORK CITY. New York City says it has secured 1,000 discounted FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets for NYC residents at $50 per seat, and the program includes free round-trip bus transportation to MetLife Stadium (renamed for the tournament). The city says tickets will be distributed via a resident-only lottery.
How the lottery works (what NYC says)
- Who can enter: NYC residents age 15+.
- What games: group stage matches and two knockout matches at MetLife (final excluded).
- How many: winners can purchase up to two tickets.
- Anti-scalping: tickets are described as nontransferable and tied to distribution on match day.
