No Trash, Compost, or Recycling Collection in NYC on Labor Day, September 2, 2024

The New York City Department of Sanitation has announced that there will be no trash, curbside compost, or recycling collection on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024.

If your regular collection day is Monday, please place your trash, compost, and recyclables at the curb on Monday evening for pickup starting Tuesday, September 3. Be aware that collection may be delayed due to the holiday backlog, so your patience is appreciated as crews work to get everything back on schedule.

For any questions about sanitation services, please contact the New York City Department of Sanitation.
