Speaker Heastie Announces Renomination of Dolly Caraballo to Commission on Ethics and Lobbying

Speaker Carl Heastie today announced he intends to renominate Dolly Caraballo to the Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government.

Caraballo has served as a commissioner since 2022. She is a managing member of the law firm Caraballo & Mandell, LLC. She is a civil litigator who has tried cases in many forums including U.S. District Courts, New York State Supreme and Surrogate Courts, and New York City Civil Courts.

She is a member of the Latino Judges Foundation Board. She served as a member of the New York City Mayor’s Advisory Committee on the Judiciary from 2003 until 2013, nominated by former Chief Judge Judith Kaye. She previously served as president of the Puerto Rican Bar Association and as co-chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Minority in the Professions. Caraballo was also a member of the Office of Court Administration’s Commission to Examine Solo and Small Firm Practice.
