Brooklyn. Community First Club Celebrated America’s 250th Birthday at Festive American Brunch 250

The Community First Republican Club celebrated the 250th Birthday of the United States with a festive and patriotic American Brunch 250 on Sunday, July 5, at the Boardwalk Beer Garden in Brighton Beach.

The event brought together Republican elected officials, candidates, party leaders, veterans, retired police officers, community activists, performers, volunteers, and residents of Southern Brooklyn to honor America’s history, constitutional freedoms, traditions, achievements, and future.

The celebration was organized by the Community First Republican Club under the leadership of its president, former New York City Councilman Ari Kagan.

A Patriotic Celebration in Southern Brooklyn

American Brunch 250 was dedicated to the historic milestone of the United States’ 250th anniversary. Guests gathered near the Brighton Beach Boardwalk to celebrate the country’s founding principles, the American flag, public service, community unity, and the opportunities that America has provided to generations of immigrants and their families.

The program included remarks by New York State Senator Steve Chan, Assemblymen Michael Novakhov and Alec Brook-Krasny, Brooklyn Republican Party Chair Emeritus Richie Barsamian, and New York State Senate candidate Tom Stanton.

Speakers reflected on their love for the United States and emphasized the importance of preserving America’s constitutional liberties, public safety, free enterprise, family values, and national traditions for future generations.

Several speakers also addressed the current political climate in New York and across the country, criticizing the growing influence of socialist and communist ideology in American politics. They warned against political movements that oppose capitalism, law enforcement, successful entrepreneurs, and America’s exceptional role as a nation built on freedom, opportunity, and constitutional limits on government power.

National Anthem, Patriotic Music, and Community Spirit

The celebration opened with a moving performance of the National Anthem by community leader Anna Malkina.

Guests also enjoyed patriotic music and songs performed by Igor Kazatsker and Alexander Rodionov, creating a festive and uplifting atmosphere throughout the afternoon.

The event included a special video presentation highlighting the accomplishments and community work of the Community First Republican Club. Guests received American-themed gifts and souvenirs, enjoyed food and refreshments, and took part in a warm celebration of civic pride and American identity.

Boardwalk March With American Flags

The celebration concluded with a symbolic Boardwalk March, as participants proudly carried American flags along the Brighton Beach Boardwalk.

For many residents of Southern Brooklyn, including immigrants from the former Soviet Union and other communities, the American flag represents not only national pride but also personal freedom, opportunity, safety, and gratitude to the country that became their home.

Ari Kagan: America’s 250th Anniversary Is a Remarkable Milestone

“Our nation’s 250th anniversary is a remarkable milestone and an opportunity to celebrate the freedoms and values that make America the greatest country in the world,” said Ari Kagan, President of the Community First Republican Club and former New York City Councilman.

“We were proud to bring our community together to honor our country’s past, celebrate its present, and look forward with optimism to its future,” Kagan added.

Community First Republican Club Thanks Supporters and Guests

The Community First Republican Club thanked all elected officials, candidates, veterans, retired police officers, volunteers, performers, sponsors, and guests who helped make American Brunch 250 a memorable celebration of America’s 250th Birthday in Brighton Beach.
